Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Heartshaped Girl by Antony Micallef was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in London in November 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,223.08), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antony Micallef - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hobo Angel (Burger King), which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 26,900.00 (€ 36,552.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Heartshaped Girl von Antony Micallef wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.223,08) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Antony Micallef mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hobo Angel (Burger King) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 26.900,00 (€ 36.552,54) versteigert wurde.
