Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Persephone Reborn by Antony Micallef was sold in the Under the Influence auction at Phillips in London in April 2014. It achieved a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,411.54), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Antony Micallef - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Hobo Angel (Burger King), which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 26,900.00 (€ 36,552.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Persephone Reborn von Antony Micallef wurde im April 2014 in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.411,54) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Antony Micallef mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Hobo Angel (Burger King) beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 26.900,00 (€ 36.552,54) versteigert wurde.
