It achieved a price of GBP 2,560.00 (€ 2,986.74), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 28%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Anthony Devas - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Reclining Nude, which sold at auction in January 2009 for GBP 7,820.00 (€ 8,802.69).

Die Arbeit A Pair of Mediterranean Hillside Scenes von Anthony Devas kam im Juli diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 2.560,00 (€ 2.986,74) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 28%. Für andere Arbeiten von Anthony Devas mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Reclining Nude beobachtet, die im Januar 2009 für GBP 7.820,00 (€ 8.802,69) versteigert wurde.
