Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Standing female nude by Anthony Devas was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in May 2007. It changed hands for a price of GBP 780.00 (€ 1,147.82) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Anthony Devas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reclining Nude in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 7,820.00 (€ 8,802.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Standing female nude von Anthony Devas wurde im Mai 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 780,00 (€ 1.147,82) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Devas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reclining Nude im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.820,00 (€ 8.802,69).
