Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2008 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work The artist's muse by Anthony Devas. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 500.00 – 800.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 525.00 (€ 651.02) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Devas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Nude in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 7,820.00 (€ 8,802.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2008 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit The artist's muse von Anthony Devas zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 500,00 – 800,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 525,00 (€ 651,02) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Devas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Nude im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.820,00 (€ 8.802,69).
