Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Eve by Anthony Devas was sold in the 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART auction at Christies in London in August 2005. The result of GBP 300.00 (€ 438.25) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Anthony Devas achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Nude in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 7,820.00 (€ 8,802.69).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Eve von Anthony Devas wurde im August 2005 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY BRITISH ART bei Christies in London versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 300,00 (€ 438,25) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Anthony Devas erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Nude im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.820,00 (€ 8.802,69).
