This artwork by Anthony Devas achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in May 2005. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Still Life With Flowers sold for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,594.42) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 400.00. Admittedly, works by Anthony Devas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reclining Nude in January 2009 with an auction result of GBP 7,820.00 (€ 8,802.69).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anthony Devas erzielte im Mai 2005 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers für GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.594,42) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 400,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anthony Devas auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reclining Nude im Januar 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.820,00 (€ 8.802,69).
