This artwork by Ansel Krut achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in March 2019. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work Shattered Man sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,410.05) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ansel Krut; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Mussels sold at auction in March 2018 with the realized price of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 18,501.52).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Ansel Krut erzielte im März 2019 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction wurde die Arbeit Shattered Man für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.410,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Ansel Krut; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Mussels im März 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 18.501,52).
