Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Anni Albers achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in January 2021. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Connections (W & D. 71-79) sold for GBP 7,560.00 (€ 8,549.31) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Anni Albers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Second Movement I-VI in April this year with an auction result of USD 44,100.00 (€ 39,945.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Anni Albers erzielte im Januar 2021 bei Phillips in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wurde die Arbeit Connections (W & D. 71-79) für GBP 7.560,00 (€ 8.549,31) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Anni Albers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Second Movement I-VI im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 44.100,00 (€ 39.945,65).
