Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pattern by Andro Wekua was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in February 2015. It changed hands for a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 15,512.08) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Andro Wekua - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Workshop Report (Full Portfolio), which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 44,689.94).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pattern von Andro Wekua wurde im Februar 2015 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 15.512,08) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Andro Wekua mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Workshop Report (Full Portfolio) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 44.689,94) versteigert wurde.
