Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alicia Penalba could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in November 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale auction, the work Sans Titre changed hands for USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,763.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alicia Penalba - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ventisquero, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 107,100.00 (€ 98,509.93).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alicia Penalba konnte im November 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Sans Titre für USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.763,32) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alicia Penalba mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ventisquero beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 107.100,00 (€ 98.509,93) versteigert wurde.
