Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Alicia Penalba achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in June 2021. In the Women in art auction, the work Petit Fruit de Mer 2 sold for EUR 25,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alicia Penalba - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ventisquero, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 107,100.00 (€ 98,509.93).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alicia Penalba erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Women in art wurde die Arbeit Petit Fruit de Mer 2 für EUR 25.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Alicia Penalba mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ventisquero beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 107.100,00 (€ 98.509,93) versteigert wurde.
