It achieved a price of CHF 27,720.00 (€ 27,725.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alicia Penalba - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ventisquero, which sold at auction in March this year for USD 107,100.00 (€ 98,509.93).

Die Arbeit Esquisse de Dialogue or Petit Dialogue von Alicia Penalba kam im Juni letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Zürich zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von CHF 27.720,00 (€ 27.725,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Für andere Arbeiten von Alicia Penalba mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ventisquero beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für USD 107.100,00 (€ 98.509,93) versteigert wurde.
