The »bidding war« ended at USD 52,920.00 (€ 49,315.07), 32% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Alice Rahon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Los Cuatro Hijos Del Arco Iris in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 512,000.00 (€ 455,881.04).

Die Arbeit Gatos von Alice Rahon wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern Day Auction bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 49.315,07) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alice Rahon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Los Cuatro Hijos Del Arco Iris im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 512.000,00 (€ 455.881,04).
