Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Petit Chat Oublié by Alice Rahon was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in September this year. The price achieved of USD 40,320.00 (€ 38,095.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alice Rahon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Los Cuatro Hijos Del Arco Iris in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 512,000.00 (€ 455,881.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Petit Chat Oublié von Alice Rahon wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 38.095,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alice Rahon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Los Cuatro Hijos Del Arco Iris im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 512.000,00 (€ 455.881,04).
