In October 2015 Christies in London held the auction Post War & Contemporary Art Day Auction, which included the work Cobalto/Burgundy by Alexandre da Cunha. The result of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,993.75) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alexandre da Cunha have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nude II in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 48,013.05).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2015 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post War & Contemporary Art Day Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cobalto/Burgundy von Alexandre da Cunha zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.993,75) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexandre da Cunha auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nude II im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 48.013,05).
