The work Deck Ix by Alexandre da Cunha was auctioned at Sothebys in London in March 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,803.35), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Alexandre da Cunha have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nude II in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 48,013.05).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Deck Ix von Alexandre da Cunha kam im März 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.803,35) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alexandre da Cunha auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nude II im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 48.013,05).
