Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Pegamento by Alex Hubbard was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2020. It achieved a price of USD 35,000.00 (€ 31,734.52), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alex Hubbard - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dead In Pompeii, which sold at auction in October 2013 for GBP 98,500.00 (€ 116,426.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Pegamento von Alex Hubbard kam im März 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 35.000,00 (€ 31.734,52) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Alex Hubbard mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dead In Pompeii beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für GBP 98.500,00 (€ 116.426,22) versteigert wurde.
