Die Arbeit Hearmuffs von Alex Hubbard kam im Dezember 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 19.879,84) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alex Hubbard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dead In Pompeii im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 98.500,00 (€ 116.426,22).
