In November 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction: Online, which included the work Sin Título by Alejandro Obregón. The »bidding war« ended at USD 94,500.00 (€ 79,092.74), 35% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alejandro Obregón - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Bodegón, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 252,000.00 (€ 234,833.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im November 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction: Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sin Título von Alejandro Obregón zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 94.500,00 (€ 79.092,74) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Alejandro Obregón mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Bodegón beobachtet, die im Mai letzten Jahres für USD 252.000,00 (€ 234.833,66) versteigert wurde.
