It achieved a price of USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,455.14), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Shields achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 3, 4, 5, 6 Preponderus Chool in September last year with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 38,638.45).

Die Arbeit Worm with a Spur, from Soft and Fluffy Gears von Alan Shields wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.455,14) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Shields erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 3, 4, 5, 6 Preponderus Chool im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 38.638,45).
