Auction result well in line with expectations
The work West in the Breast, from Soft and Fluffy Gears by Alan Shields was sold in the Evening & Day Editions auction at Phillips in New York in April 2019. The price achieved of USD 500.00 (€ 446.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Shields achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 3, 4, 5, 6 Preponderus Chool in September last year with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 38,638.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit West in the Breast, from Soft and Fluffy Gears von Alan Shields wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Evening & Day Editions bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 500,00 (€ 446,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Shields erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 3, 4, 5, 6 Preponderus Chool im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 38.638,45).
