Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Three works: (i) Flock Pool, 1986; (ii) Eggs are Ready, 1986; (iii) My Sweet Daddy Back, 1986 by Alan Shields was sold in the Under the Influence auction at Phillips in New York in March 2014. It changed hands for a price of USD 6,875.00 (€ 4,990.20) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Alan Shields have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 3, 4, 5, 6 Preponderus Chool in September last year with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 38,638.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Three works: (i) Flock Pool, 1986; (ii) Eggs are Ready, 1986; (iii) My Sweet Daddy Back, 1986 von Alan Shields wurde im März 2014 in der Auktion Under the Influence bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 4.990,20) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Alan Shields auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit 3, 4, 5, 6 Preponderus Chool im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 38.638,45).
