Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Alan Shields could be acquired at Phillips in New York in April 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Synchromesh, from Soft and Fluffy Gears changed hands for USD 313.00 (€ 279.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alan Shields achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 3, 4, 5, 6 Preponderus Chool in September last year with an auction result of USD 37,800.00 (€ 38,638.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Alan Shields konnte im April 2019 bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Evening & Day Editions wechselte die Arbeit Synchromesh, from Soft and Fluffy Gears für USD 313,00 (€ 279,44) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alan Shields erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 3, 4, 5, 6 Preponderus Chool im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.800,00 (€ 38.638,45).
