Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work We Die Out Of Hand by Ahmed Alsoudani for GBP 52,500.00 (€ 73,434.39). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day Auction at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 60,000.00 – 80,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ahmed Alsoudani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Baghdad I in October 2011 with an auction result of GBP 713,250.00 (€ 825,451.23).
