Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Grapes and Peaches by Agnes Weinrich was sold in the Modern & Contemporary Editions auction at Phillips in New York in November 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,250.00 (€ 2,493.10) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Agnes Weinrich - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Begonias, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 8,287.50 (€ 8,028.19).
