In the Editions & Works on Paper auction, the work I want a president sold for USD 4,788.00 (€ 4,543.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500.00. Admittedly, works by Zoe Leonard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four works: (i) Yellow, Pink, Blue Bundle; (ii) Coca Cola shack; (iii) Two Pairs; (iv) Drop Off A.M. Pick Up P.M. in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,877.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 92 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zoe Leonard erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper wurde die Arbeit I want a president für USD 4.788,00 (€ 4.543,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zoe Leonard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four works: (i) Yellow, Pink, Blue Bundle; (ii) Coca Cola shack; (iii) Two Pairs; (iv) Drop Off A.M. Pick Up P.M. im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.877,66).
