Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Dissolve by Zheng Delong was auctioned at Christies in New York in March 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 5,625.00 (€ 5,236.94). Admittedly, works by Zheng Delong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Soul (06.08) in October 2006 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 43,029.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Dissolve von Zheng Delong im März 2015 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 5.625,00 (€ 5.236,94) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Delong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Soul (06.08) im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 43.029,77).
