The work Guitar Girl by Nara Yoshitomo was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March last year. It achieved a price of USD 52,920.00 (€ 47,705.76), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 51%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nara Yoshitomo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Knife Behind Back in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 195,969,000.00 (€ 22,398,966.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Guitar Girl von Nara Yoshitomo kam im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 52.920,00 (€ 47.705,76) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 51%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nara Yoshitomo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Knife Behind Back im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 195.969.000,00 (€ 22.398.966,83).
