Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong, which included the work Vase by Nara Yoshitomo. The price achieved of HKD 277,200.00 (€ 34,588.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nara Yoshitomo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Knife Behind Back in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 195,969,000.00 (€ 22,398,966.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vase von Nara Yoshitomo zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 277.200,00 (€ 34.588,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 400.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nara Yoshitomo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Knife Behind Back im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 195.969.000,00 (€ 22.398.966,83).
