This artwork by Nara Yoshitomo achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in June 2021. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session auction, the work Absolut Vodka Bottle (Fuck bout everything! But I try to go...) sold for USD 201,600.00 (€ 170,155.30) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nara Yoshitomo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Knife Behind Back in October 2019 with an auction result of HKD 195,969,000.00 (€ 22,398,966.83).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nara Yoshitomo erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, Afternoon Session wurde die Arbeit Absolut Vodka Bottle (Fuck bout everything! But I try to go...) für USD 201.600,00 (€ 170.155,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nara Yoshitomo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Knife Behind Back im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 195.969.000,00 (€ 22.398.966,83).
