The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,500.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Pope.L - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Eight works: (i) White People are the Beef of the Fire; (ii) White People are Hoi Vuc Vietnam 1965; (iii) White People are my Tears; (iv) Black People are a positive cancer; (v) White People are nice to their I, which sold at auction in April 2017 for GBP 21,875.00 (€ 25,976.94).
