Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (If you Could also Bring. . .) by William Pope.L for USD 1,260.00 (€ 1,135.85). This price was achieved in the auction Editions & Works on Paper at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Pope.L achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eight works: (i) White People are the Beef of the Fire; (ii) White People are Hoi Vuc Vietnam 1965; (iii) White People are my Tears; (iv) Black People are a positive cancer; (v) White People are nice to their I in April 2017 with an auction result of GBP 21,875.00 (€ 25,976.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (If you Could also Bring. . .) von William Pope.L für USD 1.260,00 (€ 1.135,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Pope.L erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eight works: (i) White People are the Beef of the Fire; (ii) White People are Hoi Vuc Vietnam 1965; (iii) White People are my Tears; (iv) Black People are a positive cancer; (v) White People are nice to their I im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 21.875,00 (€ 25.976,94).
