Auction result well in line with expectations

In October 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Will Boone. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 12,600.00 (€ 10,818.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Will Boone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work ICE in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,736.27).

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Will Boone zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 12.600,00 (€ 10.818,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Will Boone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ICE im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.736,27).
