Auction result well in line with expectations
In September last year Phillips in New York held the auction New Now, which included this untitled work by Will Boone. It changed hands for a price of USD 27,720.00 (€ 28,334.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Will Boone - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work ICE, which sold at auction in November 2019 for USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,736.27).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Will Boone zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 27.720,00 (€ 28.334,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Will Boone mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ICE beobachtet, die im November 2019 für USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.736,27) versteigert wurde.
