Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work SWEAT by Will Boone was auctioned at Phillips in London in July 2020, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - GBP 1,200.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,182.84). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Will Boone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work ICE in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 81,250.00 (€ 73,736.27).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit SWEAT von Will Boone im Juli 2020 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – GBP 1.200,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.182,84) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Will Boone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ICE im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 81.250,00 (€ 73.736,27).
