Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2019 Bonhams in New York held the auction Summer RefreshmentsPrints & Multiples Online, which included the work Summer Idyll by Will Barnet. The price achieved of USD 892.50 (€ 812.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 700.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Will Barnet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silent Seasons - Summer No. Ii in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 106,387.74).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2019 führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion Summer RefreshmentsPrints & Multiples Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer Idyll von Will Barnet zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 892,50 (€ 812,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 700,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Will Barnet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Silent Seasons - Summer No. Ii im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 106.387,74).
