Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled (Abstract) by Will Barnet for USD 3,024.00 (€ 2,548.89). This price was achieved in the auction An American Summer at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Will Barnet achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Silent Seasons - Summer No. Ii in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 106,387.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled (Abstract) von Will Barnet für USD 3.024,00 (€ 2.548,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion An American Summer bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Will Barnet erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Silent Seasons - Summer No. Ii im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 106.387,74).
