Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wilfredo Lam could be acquired at Phillips in New York in June last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Editions Southampton auction, the work Porcelain Dinner Service Set changed hands for USD 27,720.00 (€ 26,478.17) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfredo Lam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Omi Obini in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 9,603,800.00 (€ 8,551,153.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wilfredo Lam konnte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Phillips in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Editions Southampton wechselte die Arbeit Porcelain Dinner Service Set für USD 27.720,00 (€ 26.478,17) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfredo Lam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Omi Obini im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.603.800,00 (€ 8.551.153,06).
