A top price for Wilfredo Lam - as previously expected
The work Omi Obini by Wilfredo Lam was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2020. The price achieved of USD 9,603,800.00 (€ 8,551,153.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000,000.00 – 12,000,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Omi Obini is the most expensive artwork by Wilfredo Lam that we have observed at auctions so far.
