Auction result fails to reach estimate
This work of art by Wilfredo Lam could be acquired at Bruun Rasmussen in January 2024 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern art and design auction, the work Two compositions changed hands for DKK 1,050.00 (€ 917.67) - just shy of the DKK 2,000.00 estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfredo Lam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Omi Obini in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 9,603,800.00 (€ 8,551,153.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wilfredo Lam konnte im Januar 2024 bei Bruun Rasmussen für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern art and design wechselte die Arbeit Two compositions für DKK 1.050,00 (€ 917,67) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit den Schätzpreis von DKK 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfredo Lam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Omi Obini im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.603.800,00 (€ 8.551.153,06).
