Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Wilfredo Lam could be acquired at Christies in New York in May last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale auction, the work La réunion III changed hands for USD 550,000.00 (€ 512,533.78) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 700,000.00 – 900,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wilfredo Lam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Omi Obini in June 2020 with an auction result of USD 9,603,800.00 (€ 8,551,153.06).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wilfredo Lam konnte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Impressionist and Modern Works on Paper and Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit La réunion III für USD 550.000,00 (€ 512.533,78) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 700.000,00 – 900.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wilfredo Lam erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Omi Obini im Juni 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 9.603.800,00 (€ 8.551.153,06).
