A top price for Weng Fen - as previously expected
The work A Beautiful World-Bird Nest by Weng Fen was sold in the Contemporary Art Part II auction at Phillips in London in October 2008. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 39,832.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Beautiful World-Bird Nest is the most expensive artwork by Weng Fen that we have observed at auctions so far.
