Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work On The Wall - Haikou 2 by Weng Fen for USD 750.00 (€ 630.36). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Weng Fen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Beautiful World-Bird Nest in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 39,832.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit On The Wall - Haikou 2 von Weng Fen für USD 750,00 (€ 630,36) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art Online: featuring the Chaney Family Collection bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Weng Fen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Beautiful World-Bird Nest im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 39.832,54).
