Signed, dated and numbered 47/75 in pencil (there were also 15 artist's proofs), published by Cirrus Editions, Ltd., Los Angeles (with their blindstamp and inkstamp on the reverse), framed.

Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Galaxy, from Untitled Portfolio (R. fig. 10) by Vija Celmins was sold in the Editions & Works on Paper auction at Phillips in New York in April this year. The price achieved of USD 12,065.00 (€ 10,928.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vija Celmins achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Ocean) in June 2021 with an auction result of USD 7,748,000.00 (€ 6,539,500.34).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Galaxy, from Untitled Portfolio (R. fig. 10) von Vija Celmins wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Editions & Works on Paper bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 12.065,00 (€ 10.928,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vija Celmins erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Ocean) im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 7.748.000,00 (€ 6.539.500,34).
