Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work I. Spanking II. The War Room 2 Works by Verne Dawson for USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,781.26). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Online at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Verne Dawson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Manhattan in November 2003 with an auction result of USD 47,800.00 (€ 39,849.94).

Im März 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit I. Spanking II. The War Room 2 Works von Verne Dawson für USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.781,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Verne Dawson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Manhattan im November 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 47.800,00 (€ 39.849,94).
