Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Three Aerialists by Verne Dawson for GBP 35,000.00 (€ 39,707.95). This price was achieved in the auction Day Sale at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 50,000.00 – 70,000.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Verne Dawson have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2003 by the work Manhattan at USD 47,800.00 (€ 39,849.94).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Three Aerialists von Verne Dawson für GBP 35.000,00 (€ 39.707,95) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Day Sale bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Verne Dawson wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im November 2003 die Arbeit Manhattan mit USD 47.800,00 (€ 39.849,94).
