Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Verne Dawson could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction auction, the work French Vase and Log changed hands for GBP 12,500.00 (€ 15,477.98) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Verne Dawson - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Manhattan, which sold at auction in November 2003 for USD 47,800.00 (€ 39,849.94).

In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Auction wechselte die Arbeit French Vase and Log für GBP 12.500,00 (€ 15.477,98) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00.
