Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nature morte by Valentine Prax was sold in the Impressionist/Modern & Picasso Ceramics auction at Christies in London in February 2015. The price achieved of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 6,032.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Valentine Prax - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Paysage, which sold at auction in July 2008 for EUR 16,110.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nature morte von Valentine Prax wurde im Februar 2015 in der Auktion Impressionist/Modern & Picasso Ceramics bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.375,00 (€ 6.032,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Valentine Prax mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Paysage beobachtet, die im Juli 2008 für EUR 16.110,00 versteigert wurde.
