Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Aqua Babe by Tschabalala Self was sold in the New Now auction at Phillips in New York in March this year. It achieved a price of USD 69,850.00 (€ 64,247.61), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. Admittedly, works by Tschabalala Self have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Princess in February 2020 with an auction result of GBP 435,000.00 (€ 504,165.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Aqua Babe von Tschabalala Self wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion New Now bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 69.850,00 (€ 64.247,61) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Tschabalala Self auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Princess im Februar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 435.000,00 (€ 504.165,99).
